Pomona, CA based Ska/Punk band STATE CHAMPIONS formed in late 1999/early 2000 (I'm old now and I don't recall) and performed around California for 5 years. They opened for RX Bandits, Slick Shoes and played a post-show for Reel Big Fish. They eventually began to call themselves "State Champs" but now there's a band called that, so, let's just stick to the original monicker. This band was a blast and a little bit on the nutty side. Writing songs in the pop punk vein of the time about girls, parties, drugs, sex and their a**hole first singer who stole their PA system.
